Job description

Join Our Team! Small Animal Vet Wanted in Exeter!

Are you a passionate and dedicated small animal vet seeking a rewarding opportunity? Look no further! We are a thriving veterinary practice based in the heart of Exeter, and we are currently searching for a talented individual to join our close-knit team.

Established in 1941, we are a fully equipped small animal hospital in Exeter. Our friendly and experienced veterinary team provides the highest quality of veterinary care, surgery, and treatment – along with regular check-ups and routine procedures.

We have been providing an efficient, approachable, and reasonably priced orthopaedic referral service, including surgery for cruciate ligament rupture and total hip replacements for over 25 years. We also take referrals in laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures and other soft tissue procedures for our clients and other practices.

The position may suit someone looking for part-time work if they are able to work a full 8:30-18:30 day, but full-time (40 hours worked as 4 days a week and 1:3 Saturdays) would be preferable. Our in-house Mi-Night Vet (EVES) covers nights and Sundays. This position will be starting beginning July.

Our Standard Benefits Include
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (or equivalent) with our Buy/Sell holiday scheme - allowing you to purchase an additional two weeks of annual leave
  • RCVS, VDS, and subscription fees paid
  • Generously encouraged and fully funded CPD – abundant opportunities within the business aided by internal and external development courses and programmes
  • Receive an extra day's leave each year in your first 5 years at CVS
  • Cycle to work scheme and subsidised gym membership
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption pay
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension scheme – automatic enrolment and completely hassle-free
  • Access to First Aid for Mental Health and Wellbeing Champions across CVS and 300 trained CVS colleagues in this role
  • Colleague discount on pet products and treatments including free consults, cost price drugs, and a discount to our online pharmacy, Animed.
  • Access to the company share-save scheme
