Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting experienced Slingers for a busy Portsmouth project on an approximately 4-month contract.

You will be responsible for assisting crane operations, adhering to lifting procedures and site safety rules, with potential significant overtime due to project needs. Start date in the first week of November; BPSS clearance will be arranged after offer.

Contract offers £25/hour, up to 60 hours per week, and one rate paid for all hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Blue CPCS Card, Level 3 Qualification, or NPORS equivalent.
• Proven experience working as a Slinger.
• Experience in a shipyard or marine environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures.
• Ability to work safely in a busy operational environment.
• Excellent communication with crane operators and site teams.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with crane operators and site teams

Due to the nature of the project, successful candidates will be required to obtain BPSS clearance, which will be arranged by the client following an offer to join the contract.
