Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking experienced Slingers for a busy Portsmouth project on a roughly four-month contract. You will support crane operations in a shipyard environment, holding a valid Blue CPCS Card, Level 3 qualification, or NPORS equivalent and delivering safe lifting procedures.

The role offers £25 per hour, with up to 60 hours per week at one rate. Start in the first week of November, with BPSS clearance arranged after an offer.

Qualifications

• Valid Blue CPCS Card, Level 3 Qualification, or NPORS equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Slinger.
• Experience in a shipyard or marine environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations and site safety procedures.
• Ability to work safely in a busy operational environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Slinger
• Previous experience within a shipyard or marine environment preferred
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures
• Ability to work safely and effectively within a busy operational environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with crane operators and site teams

Due to the nature of the project, successful candidates will be required to obtain BPSS clearance, which will be arranged by the client following an offer to join the contract.

Package

• £25/h
• Up to 60 hours per week
• One rate paid for all hours worked
