Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking a competent Site Slinger to directly and safely manage lifting operations on site. You will communicate with crane operators, attach and detach loads using proper accessories, and inspect equipment to report defects.

You will ensure compliance with lifting plans and maintain a safe area around operations. The role requires a CPCS/NPORS Slinger/Signaller qualification and prior experience on civil projects.

Qualifications

• Slinger/Signaller qualification (CPCS or NPORs) is required.
• Previous experience on construction or civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures.

The company:

A well established regional contractor who specialises in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure.

The role:

As the site Slinger you will be responsible for

• Ensure all lifting activities comply with site procedures and lifting plans.
• Maintain safe working areas around lifting operations.
• Work closely with site management and other trades to ensure operations run smoothly.

About you:

Ideally you will have previous working experience in a Slinger position.

You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be weary of others who are working alongside of you.

You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller qualification.
