• 2 - 3 years experience setting/operating sliding heads (desirable).
• 3 - 5 years experience programming in Fanuc (essential).
• 3 - 5 years experience setting & operating Doosan Puma Lathes (essential).

Job description

Due to expansion, Next Generation are currently recruiting for a Sliding Head Programmer to work with a leading global manufacturer who produce machined components supplying predominantly into the energy industries. As the CNC Programmer you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc controlled Citizen Stars.

The following shifts are available for the Sliding Head Programmer:

• Monday - Friday (Days)

Duties of the Sliding Head Programmer:

• Setting and operating CNC sliding head & fixed head lathes
• Programming and editing using FANUC controls
• Changing tips, drills, tools, and inserts as required
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Using measurement tools (Vernier calipers, micrometers, ring gauges, and shadowgraphs)
• Logging measurements and production data on our in-house system

The successful candidate for the Sliding Head Programmers position will have the following experience:

• 2 - 3 Years experience Setting/Operating Sliding Head's (Desirable)
• 3 - 5 years' experience Setting & Operating Doosan Puma Lathes (Essential)
• 3 - 5 years' experience programming in Fanuc (Essential)
• Checking for defects & quality issues (Essential)
• Ability to manage cycle times (Essential)
• Excellent attention to detail (Essential)
