Job Title: SLD Teacher – Specialist SEND School – Lambeth We are looking for a creative and committed SLD Teacher to join an exceptional SEND school in Lambeth, supporting students aged 11–19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The school also has a strong PMLD provision, promoting inclusive and individualised education for all learners. About the Role: Full-time classroom teaching role Mixed-ability students with a range of additional needs Delivering an adapted primary-level curriculum Emphasis on life skills, communication, independence, and creative learning Non-verbal students – use of PECS and Makaton essential Sensory and community-based activities encouraged School hours: 8:45am–4:00pm, with teacher meetings twice weekly and staff training every Wednesday Valid child & adult DBS required Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential Experience teaching students with SLD Energetic, hands-on and creative in approach Skilled in differentiating tasks and managing individual education plans Passionate about SEND and committed to making learning accessible and enjoyable If you’re looking for a rewarding role in a forward-thinking and inclusive school, we’d love to hear from you
