Job summary

Panda Recycling UK is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for our Salford depot to support sustainable waste management across the region. You will operate Skip & RoRo vehicles, conduct pre-shift checks, and follow planned routes to maximise efficiency while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role offers guaranteed hours with overtime and a Monday–Friday pattern plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, paid breaks, PPE, and ongoing CPC training.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 Licence (Category C).
• Current Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Proven Class 2 driving experience (Skip/RoRo preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles (Skip & RoRo) for waste collection and delivery.
• Complete daily vehicle walkaround checks and report defects.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity and reduce environmental impact.
• Maintain accurate collection/delivery records using a digital tablet system.
• Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to health, safety and compliance standards.

Panda Waste is expanding its operational team at our Salford depot. We are seeking a reliable and professional Skip & RoRo Driver to join our team, supporting sustainable waste management and collection across the region.

Shift Pattern & Hours

• Days: Monday to Friday
• Start Time: 06:00 until finish
• Weekend Rota: 1 in 3 Saturdays required
• Breaks: Paid breaks included

Key Responsibilities

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles (Skip & RoRo) for safe and efficient waste collection and delivery.

• Planning efficient routes to maximize productivity and lower environmental impact.
• Managing collection and delivery records accurately using a digital tablet system.
• Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining strict health, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• CPC & Tacho: Current Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience: Proven Class 2 driving experience (Skip or RoRo experience preferred).
• Compliance: Solid understanding of driver hours, tachograph rules, and load securing.
• Fitness: Physically fit for manual handling and happy working outdoors in full PPE.
