SKIN CANCER DERMATOLOGY NURSE CENTRAL LONDON LOCUM > PERM in London Central

Nurse Specialist Skin Cancer/Dermatology urgently required in London.

Dream Medical is currently working alongside a Private GP Practice based in Central London providing locum Skin Cancer Nurse cover. Ideally covering a minimum 16 hours a week to start but as the service grows the requirement may transition into full time Monday – Friday.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited nursing education program
• A current Registered Nurse license
• Two years experience as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in skin cancer screening would be preferable

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform a physical assessment on each patient, paying special attention to the skin
• Assist the physician in the performance of skin exams, monitor and record a patient\'s medical history, and be aware of relevant test results
• Educate each patient on how to protect their skin and care for skin diseases and conditions at home
• Ensure provision of high standards of care for patients
• Ensure compliance with relevant NICE Guidelines, BDNG Competencies and NMC Code
• Enhance quality of care by assisting with the management of change in nursing practice based on evidence/research
• Plan and organise own workload in order to meet patient\'s needs
• Ensure compliance with Clinic Policies & Procedures at all times
• Practice multidisciplinary team care and contribute actively towards its successful management
• Work in accordance with the Clinic Plan to assist in meeting the Clinic Objectives
• Act as patient advocate at all times
