A local educational institution is seeking an enthusiastic Skills Practitioner to join the Construction department in Redhill. The role involves supporting students in practical skills, producing learning materials, and maintaining records. Candidates should possess a Painting and Decorating qualification (Level 2 or above) and experience with young people. Skills Practitioner – Painting & Decorating. College location: East Surrey College (Redhill). Salary: £27,466. Hours: Full time (37 hours/week).
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Skills Practitioner to join our busy and professional Construction department. Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager and the rest of the Construction team, you will support students in their learning of practical skills by assisting them in the workshop or classroom activities. Utilising your Painting and Decorating background, you will produce learning materials and teaching aids and assist in the preparation of learning areas for practical work.
You will assist the course leader in supervising students, student assessments, and ensure that student records are appropriately maintained as well as deliver teaching as required. You will also maintain a stock of consumables in accordance with departmental needs, maintain a record of resources and equipment and transport equipment and materials when necessary.
