About The Role

As a Skills Practitioner in Electrical Installations, you will join our busy Building Services and Engineering department at our Ashford campus. You will provide Learning and Technical support to both staff and students within the Division, and undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies.

Other Duties Will Include

  • Liaising with both internal and external customers/stakeholders.
  • Provide support and feedback to students to aid progression and achievement.
  • Assessing students work, both theory and practical.
  • Stock control including include ordering and issuing of supplies.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

About You

What we are looking for someone who:

  • Has recent industry experience in a relevant area.
  • Is highly organised and efficient
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Will provide support and guidance to learners on tasks.

You will also provide demonstrations as required in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision within EKC Group.

You will have experience of education or involvement in training in the workplace, and be able to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential.

The successful candidate will have a key responsibility for Instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments and will purchase resources and materials within budget.

This role would be suitable for someone who has achieved their level 3 Electrical Installations qualification and looking to develop their skills and experience, or someone who is interested in progressing to teaching and would like to experience Further Education.
