Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Skills Practitioner to support Electrical Installation sessions in the Built Environment department. You will help learners achieve practical skills, ensure workshops are well-structured and safe, and assist staff in delivering high-quality teaching.

You will liaise with colleagues and partners, manage stock, organise session resources, and provide feedback to students to promote achievement and confidence in hands-on learning.

About The Role

Switch on your career in education and help inspire the generation of Electrical professionals! As a Skills Practitioner in our thriving Electrical Installation area in our Built Environment department, you will play an important part in supporting both staff and students, helping to deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences.

You’ll liaise with colleagues and external partners, support learners to reach their goals, and ensure workshops are safe, well-organised, and fully equipped.

In This Role, You Will

• Monitor and promote excellent Health & Safety practices within workshop sessions
• Order, organise, and issue stock and supplies to keep sessions running smoothly
• Assist in workshop preparation
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students

What are we looking for?

• Someone confident to support and guide learners through practical tasks
• Someone with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations
• With some industry experience in the Electrical sector
