Job description

Job title:Skills Development Coach - Vehicle and Mechanical Handling

Location:Barrow

Salary: £44,500

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and practical assessment that comply with recognised industry codes of practice
  • Engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully operate in a safe and consistent manner
  • Design and develop learning content i.a.w. defined codes of practice as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering Operational excellence
  • Develop & Design training packages to meet the demands of new innovations in technology or equipment to meet business needs
  • Ensure effective recording / reporting of performance data in support of delivery and evidence audit
  • Liaison with the industry governing bodies (NPORS, RTITB etc.) to maximise the link between Training Centre and workplace learning opportunities

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of operating Counterbalance Lift Trucks, Pedestrian Operated Lift Trucks, Multi-directional Lift Trucks etc
  • Qualified / registered with an industry accredited body (NPORS/ RTITB or equivalent)
  • Strong coaching skills

Desirable:

  • Training & Development qualifications L3
  • Assessor Award qualification
