Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Technician - Level II for our York, SC facility. You will support manufacturing safety, quality inspections, and maintenance activities while collaborating with a team to ensure reliable axle production.

You will perform welding and assembly tasks, read work instructions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving is required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; licensing may be required for export controls.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with hand tools and basic manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and operating practices.
• Complete quality checks per control plans.
• Attend site CI initiatives and PIE events.
• Operate pneumatic tools and hoists as needed.
• Train and support welders as required.
• Prepare parts and weld axles per work instructions.
