Job Description:

ESS Employment is looking for a Skilled Surface Mount Technician/Operator to join their client in Stonehouse. The role involves supporting SMT assembly lines, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth production flow. The position offers a pay rate of £13.37 - £14.37 per hour, with a 37.5-hour workweek, starting ASAP. It is a temp-to-perm contract.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support SMT assembly line/equipment including programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  2. Ensure smooth flow of new products through SMT equipment following procedures.
  3. Collect, analyze, and report data regarding SMT operations and process capability.
  4. Perform failure and root cause analysis of defects and field returns.
  5. Conduct inspections and quality assurance actions to ensure high product quality.
  6. Follow all safety procedures.
  7. Monitor machine conditions to prevent breakdowns.
  8. Liaise with Process Engineering for optimal production efficiency.
