The Role

Our client currently has an opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their team.

This role involves working in a busy shop floor environment at their Macclesfield workshop, utilizing a range of equipment and welding processes to manufacture high-quality fabrications for the food, pharmaceutical, water, and textile industries.

Skills and Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience
2. Ability to produce a high standard of work using stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel
3. NVQ Level 2/3
4. City & Guilds Certifications
5. Experience fabricating bespoke items from engineering drawings to exact tolerances, using laser cut profiles and/or equipment such as guillotines, band saws, drills, press brakes, hydroformers, and rollers
6. Proficiency in TIG welding thin gauge stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel to a high cosmetic standard; pipe welding experience is advantageous
7. Flexibility to assist in other areas depending on manufacturing needs
8. Adherence to and promotion of good health and safety practices and operational procedures
9. Professional attitude and image in all work-related activities
10. Willingness to work overtime when required
