Job summary
The Cornwall Bakery, part of the Samworth Brothers group, is seeking a Skilled Packing Operator to ensure safe and correct packing of products. You will set up and run packing equipment, perform quality checks, and support the packing line to run smoothly.
Ideal candidates have experience in food production or packing and can work in a busy production environment, following safety and hygiene rules. Training and growth opportunities are available within the team.
Qualifications
- Experience in food production or packing.
- Experience using packing machines or similar equipment.
- Good understanding of packing and production processes.
- Able to work in a busy production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run packing machines safely and correctly
- Check equipment is working correctly and report any faults
- Check packs, labels, dates, weights, and product quality
- Transfer products from packing lines to boxes
- Support product changeovers and line start-ups
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules
- Keep the packing area clean, safe, and tidy
