Great opportunity to work as a Skilled Operative for our client - a manufacturer of soft cheese.

Staffline is recruiting for Skilled Operatives in Chard.

The rate of pay is from £ per hour. Overtime is available after working 40 hours.

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts: Monday to Friday, until 4pm, or Monday to Thursday, 5:30am to 5pm. Flexibility to work extended hours during peak times is required.

Having your own transport is a requirement due to the shift times.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Skilled Operative, your key responsibilities include:

1. Demonstrating a commitment to Health and Safety, ensuring the safety of yourself and others, in line with the Company Health and Safety policies and instructions.
2. Carrying out tasks within the designated work area following Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (FSQMS), including monitoring procedural compliance, paperwork, and activities such as coagulation time of milk, pH, temperature, and acidity.
3. Addressing any deviations promptly and escalating issues as necessary.
4. Preparing machinery and equipment at the start of each shift, reporting breakdowns, and recording downtime.
5. Maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement across all areas.

This role is physically demanding.

Ideal Candidate

No prior experience is necessary; however, a willingness to learn is essential. Dairy or machine operation experience is desirable.

Having your own transport is required due to shift timings.
