The role offers a base rate of £21.12 per hour with premiums for weekends and unsociable hours, plus a £2,000 joining bonus and opportunities for overtime, training, and career progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience on HGV/PSV/commercial or military vehicles welcomed.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of vehicle systems and preventative maintenance.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ex-military engineers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out mechanical repairs, servicing, and component replacement.
• Identify vehicle faults and determine repair methods.
• Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and vehicle inspections.
• Conduct mechanical fault finding and diagnostics.
• Attend roadside breakdowns and recovery callouts when required.
• Carry out vehicle road tests to identify faults and verify repairs.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and to standards.
• Document maintenance records and service history.
