Job description

Our Client, A well-established manufacturer of paving and building products is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join their team based in Carryduff, Belfast The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HSEQ risks are eliminated or controlled during all activities, completing production and pre-use HSEQ checks as required.
• Ensure the product meets the required quality standard and maintain supporting records throughout the production process.
• Comply with AG Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Policies & Procedures, safe systems of work, and legislative requirements. Report improvements using AG's Engage Software.
• Become proficient in all aspects of operations, learning to operate machinery and systems efficiently and safely.
• Monitor machine operations to detect issues and ensure product quality.
• Support maintenance tasks during machine downtime, planned maintenance, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Perform any other duties commensurate with the role and within capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 GCSE’s Grade A to C.
• Ability to work quickly to meet production deadlines.
• Good observational skills to spot defective products
• Adherence and appreciation for H&S and general housekeeping standards.
• Medically fit to undertake the physical requirements of the job.
• Proven experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production setting.
