Job Description:

As a Skilled Landscaper at Gadd Brothers, you will play a key role in working on a variety of projects, from small gardens to large-scale designer-led projects. Building, and maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces for our clients, ensuring every project is completed to the highest standard. There will also be opportunities to work on RHS show gardens, as part of the Gadd Brothers team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hard and soft landscaping tasks, including planting, turfing, paving, decking and constructing garden features.
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools and machinery.
• Collaborate with the team to execute designs according to project plans and client specifications.
• Conduct site preparation, including grading, excavation and drainage work.
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Proven experience in landscaping, with expertise in hard landscaping.
• Proficiency in using landscaping tools and machinery.
• Strong understanding of landscaping techniques, plants and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, self-motivated and a team player, with excellent communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• A valid driver’s license.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to read and work from landscaping plans and CAD drawings.
• Knowledge of lighting and irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of large tree planting.
• Experience of using a Hilti Total Station.
• Experience of plant machinery. (E.g. diggers, Avants)
