Job summary

H W Martin Fleet Maintenance Ltd in Blackwell, Derbyshire, is seeking a fully skilled HGV Technician to join our busy workshop. You will maintenance and repair a varied fleet, prepare vehicles for MOTs, and work to high standards on our own fleet and customer vehicles.

We offer competitive hourly rates (£17.90–£22.86), flexible shifts including early and afternoon patterns or a 4 on/4 off rotation, 33 days leave, pension, life assurance and EAP. Overtime paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• The candidate should be trained to the latest repair and maintenance techniques for commercial vehicles.
• Experience with MOT preparation and vehicle servicing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of our varied vehicle fleet and customer vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure high standards of workmanship.

Hourly rate

We commit to “The best people for the best rates”. Dependent on skills, experience, and shift, earn an hourly rate of £17.90 – £22.86 to give you a basic salary of up to £37,232 – £49,936 per annum, before overtime. If you work overtime, we will pay you at time and a half.

Role requirements

• The successful candidate will ideally have City & Guilds or a NVQ Level 3 qualification, and who has served a recognised apprenticeship, and can work to the highest standards.
• The successful candidate should be fully conversant with the latest repair and maintenance techniques for commercial vehicles and MOT preparation, working on our own varied vehicle fleet plus customers vehicles.
