Job description

UKR Group is looking for an experienced Skilled Groundworker to start ASAP in a job in Brent Cross, North West London.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting site plans, drawings, and levels accurately.
• Excavating and preparing foundations, trenches, and drainage systems.
• Installing kerbs, edgings, flagging, and paving (e.g. block paving or tarmac).
• Laying and levelling concrete and screed.
• Constructing retaining walls and formwork as needed.
• Operating hand tools and small plant machinery (e.g. trench rollers, compactors).
• Ensuring ground compaction meets project specifications.
• Assisting with utility installations (e.g. water, gas, electrical ducting).
• Complying with all health and safety regulations on site.
• Collaborating with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of groundwork techniques and materials.
• Ensures work is completed to high standards and specifications.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Able to adapt to site challenges and resolve practical issues efficiently.
• Clear and effective verbal communication with team members and supervisors.
