Qualifications

  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Hold a full valid UK Driving License.
  • At least 3 years of commercial grounds maintenance experience.

  • Activities include hedge pruning, shrubbery and grass cutting, and flower bed maintenance.

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30, 39HPW
Location: Kendal, LA9 5RR & surrounding areas

Manpower are looking for a Skilled Gardener to work for our client based out of Kendal. As a Skilled Gardener, you will have a unique opportunity to maintain iconic greenspaces throughout the Lake District National Park, shaping & maintaining grounds from Lake Windemere and Bowness Promenade to Barrow-in-Furness and Kendal. You will contribute your skills and experience to a range of activities from hedge pruning, shrubbery and grass cutting to flower bed maintenance, tree planting and more! This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your current career, be trained to a high standard and challenge yourself in an encouraging and friendly environment!
To succeed, you will need:

  • To be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Hold a full valid UK Driving License
  • A good working knowledge of horticulture and grounds maintenance.
  • A strong health and safety mindset and adept at problem solving.
  • NVQ Horticulture Qualification OR have at least 3 years of commercial grounds maintenance experience.
