• Full valid UK Driving License required.
• At least 3 years of commercial grounds maintenance experience or NVQ qualification in horticulture.
• PA1 & PA6 certificates desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain iconic greenspaces throughout the Lake District National Park.
• Conduct hedge pruning, shrubbery and grass cutting, flower bed maintenance, and tree planting.

Skilled Gardener
Hourly Rate: 13 - 14 per hour, depending on experience
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30, 39HPW
Location: Kendal, LA9 5RR & surrounding areas

Manpower are looking for a Skilled Gardener to work for our client based out of Kendal. As a Skilled Gardener, you will have a unique opportunity to maintain iconic greenspaces throughout the Lake District National Park, shaping & maintaining grounds from Lake Windemere and Bowness Promenade to Barrow-in-Furness and Kendal. You will contribute your skills and experience to a range of activities from hedge pruning, shrubbery and grass cutting to flower bed maintenance, tree planting and more! To succeed, you will need:

• To be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Hold a full valid UK Driving License
• A good working knowledge of horticulture and grounds maintenance.
• A strong health and safety mindset and adept at problem solving.
• NVQ Horticulture Qualification OR have at least 3 years of commercial grounds maintenance experience.
• PA1 & PA6 certificates desirable
