Exciting Opportunity: Skilled Engineer - Rotating Shift at Edmonton

Join Arriva London as a Skilled Engineer at our Edmonton Garages and be part of a team dedicated to providing sustainable and reliable transportation services. This rewarding role is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in maintaining and repairing a fleet of London buses to the highest standards set by both Arriva and the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Qualifications in PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance and repair (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent international qualification). If you’re not formally qualified, we’ll consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • A full UK driving license (6 points or less).
  • A PCV license (preferred) or the ability to obtain one.
  • The ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
  • A passion for delivering quality, safe, and reliable maintenance work.
Your Role
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses.
  • Ensure vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
  • Work on MOT preparation, preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks.
  • Improve vehicle reliability through continuous monitoring and repair.
