The position involves working Monday to Friday from 05:30 am until finish, with available overtime.

Our Merthyr site is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly, passionate team.

  • Previous knife skills and butchery experience in fast-paced food manufacturing are required.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Willingness to gain new skills and experience.
  • Good rates of pay (£13.42 - £19.42), depending on experience and ability after passing a knife test.
  • Core hours are 05:30 am – finish, Monday to Friday, with available overtime.
  • Follow specifications and demonstrations from line Manager/Supervisor/QC.
  • Use knives and tools safely to perform meat cutting and trimming.
  • Understand that your role is key to the efficient operation of the line, with specific responsibilities to ensure smooth production.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety rules and procedures, including wearing the correct PPE.
