MorePeople is seeking an Arable Operator for a busy farming operation in Cambridgeshire. The role covers drilling, cultivations, spraying, harvest and general tractor work within a modern fleet.
You will also provide relief across the operation as needed, bringing a hands-on approach and a positive, team-oriented mindset. A full driving licence is required; PA1/PA2 certificates would be useful but are not essential for everyone.
We're working with a progressive, family-run farming business in Cambridgeshire that's looking for an Arable Operator to join its team.
The business farms around 6000 acres, so this is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and being part of a busy farming operation.
We're open to different skillsets and backgrounds. Whether your strengths are drilling, spraying, cultivations, harvest or general tractor work, there's scope to find the right fit. The role will also involve providing relief across the operation, so flexibility and a willingness to muck in are important.
You'll support the day-to-day running of the farm, working across different areas of the arable operation depending on your experience and the needs of the business.
This could include:
Drilling, cultivations and spraying, depending on your experience.
General tractor and machinery work.
Harvest and forage operations.
Providing relief and cover for other members of the team.
Helping with general farm jobs and keeping machinery in good order.
You'll be working with a modern, well-maintained fleet and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility over time.
Some experience in arable farming or operating agricultural machinery.
A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to turn your hand to different jobs.
Someone who takes pride in their work and looks after machinery.
A reliable team player who can also get on with things independently.
Flexibility to help out during busy periods, particularly at harvest.
A full driving licence. Relevant certificates, such as PA1 and PA2, would be useful but aren't essential for everyone.
We're more interested in finding the right person than ticking off a set list of skills, so if you're a good all-rounder with a genuine interest in farming and prior experience, we'd like to hear from you.
Competitive salary, depending on experience.
Bonus potential.
Modern machinery and a well-equipped farming operation.
A long-term opportunity with scope to develop your skills and responsibilities.
A straightforward working environment where people are trusted and supported.
