Join Guidant as we collaborate with the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, Airbus. We are seeking skilled Aircraft Fitters to join Airbus' dynamic team at the prestigious Broughton site, within the Wing Build Production section. If you have experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering role, you are invited to apply.

At Airbus Broughton, you'll be part of assembling wings for Airbus's entire range of commercial aircraft, including the A320, A330, and the advanced A350XWB (extra wide body) planes.

What to expect as a Skilled Aircraft Fitter

You will undertake essential and challenging work, as aircraft wings are among the most technically complex components of an aircraft. They are crucial for aerodynamic performance and eco-efficient solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembly, general fittings, and component installations
• Repairs on metallic and composite materials
• Occasional work in confined spaces or at heights

Flexible shift options:

• Double Days: Week 1 - 06:00 to 13:10, Week 2 - 13:30 to 20:40 (Monday to Friday)
• Nights: 20:45 to 06:00 (Monday to Thursday)

To be considered, we are looking for:

• Completed Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship
• Experience in roles such as Sheet Metal Workers, Metal Fabricators, Welders, or Mechanical Fitters
• Additional qualifications accepted include: Indenture, City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC, Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2 or 3, Key Skills Level 2, and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in recognized engineering fields
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Openness to continuous improvement and innovative approaches
• Knowledge of and adherence to high Health and Safety standards
