Skilled Aircraft Fitter Opportunity at a Leading Aerospace Company

Exciting opportunity for a Skilled Aircraft Fitter to join a renowned global leader in the aircraft manufacturing industry. This company is renowned for its innovative engineering and manufacturing excellence, and they are now seeking talented individuals to join their team.

As a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including working from engineering instructions, understanding aircraft drawings, and completing tasks to the required standards. This will involve the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing, as well as potential work in confined spaces, such as tank work, which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval-shaped manholes.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field
- Self-motivation with good communication skills
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working
- Strong knowledge and high regard for Health and Safety standards
