Job summary

Utile Engineering, a family-owned UK manufacturer, is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to assemble skid-mounted pump packages, pipework systems and related assemblies. You will interpret drawings, prepare components, and ensure quality through testing and inspection as part of our turnkey packaging solutions.

The role involves working on gas compressors, boosters, and mixing systems, with safety-first practices and a commitment to meeting customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Mechanical fitting and assembly skills for skid mounted packages and piping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use inspection/measuring equipment.
• Experience with basic machining and mechanical test procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build skid packages to company drawings (gas compressors, gas boosters, pipework, frames and bases).
• Kit up and prepare components for assembly.
• Work from drawings and use measurement tools to company standards.
