Queen Mary’s High School is a selective grammar school where able students thrive academically, personally and socially. The Sixth Form Study Supervisor role supports students in developing independent study habits and ensuring a safe, productive learning environment.

The post is permanent, 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks (term-time, including INSET days), with an emphasis on safeguarding and pastoral welfare within the Sixth Form Centre.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting sixth form students is advantageous.
• Ability to supervise students during non-contact periods.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.

Responsibilities

• To support Sixth Form students in developing effective independent study habits and academic self-discipline.
• To supervise students during non-contact periods, ensuring a safe, purposeful and productive learning environment.
• To maintain the high standards of conduct, attendance and behaviour expected of Sixth Form students.
• To provide administrative support to the Sixth Form team and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the Sixth Form Centre.
• To support the pastoral, academic and welfare needs of Sixth Form students in line with the school's policies and procedures.
