Caludon Castle School is seeking a dedicated Sixth Form Pastoral Assistant to join the Sixth Form team, promoting student wellbeing, attendance, progress and achievement. You will work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Sixth Form to provide high-quality pastoral support and respond to student needs across the sixth form.

The role involves safeguarding, supporting UCAS applications, supervising study areas, and using data to implement targeted interventions.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and student welfare focus.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour and welfare of sixth form students.
• Respond to day-to-day student issues and liaise with parents, staff and external agencies.
• Support UCAS applications and supervise study environments.
• Use student data to identify interventions and track progress.
• Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive sixth form culture.

Salary: Actual salary £23,535 - £26,751 pro rata to weeks

Sixth Form Pastoral Assistant Caludon Castle School Grade 4 £26,846 - £30,515 Actual salary £23,535 - £26,751 pro rata to weeks and hours worked Permanent, 37 hours per week Working hours:Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 4.00pm Friday 08.00 – 3.30pm Term time only (including 5 INSET days), plus 2 days to be worked on GCSE and A-Level results days Start date: Negotiable

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive both academically and personally? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sixth Form Pastoral Assistant to join our successful Sixth Form team and play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, attendance, progress and achievement.

Working closely with the Head of Sixth Form and Deputy Head of Sixth Form, you will provide high-quality pastoral support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they feel safe, valued and supported throughout their sixth form journey. The role involves monitoring attendance, punctuality, behaviour and welfare, responding to day-to-day student issues, and working collaboratively with parents, staff and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for students.

The successful candidate will be a proactive safeguarding advocate with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will support students with UCAS applications, oversee the supervised study environment, use student data to identify and implement interventions, and contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive and aspirational sixth form culture.
