Job summary

Caludon Castle School in Coventry is seeking a Sixth Form Pastoral Assistant to join the already successful Sixth Form team. The role focuses on student wellbeing, attendance, progress and achievement, and works with the Head of Sixth Form to support learners through their sixth form journey.

Key duties include safeguarding, monitoring welfare, supporting UCAS applications, and collaborating with parents and external agencies to secure positive outcomes while maintaining an inclusive school

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in educational or pastoral settings.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and student welfare understanding.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organised, proactive and flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour and welfare of sixth form students.
• Provide high-quality pastoral support and assist with UCAS applications.
• Oversee supervised study and support student independence.
• Collaborate with Head of Sixth Form, parents, staff and external agencies.
• Promote a positive, inclusive sixth form culture.
