If you are looking for an exciting catering project to develop and thrive on building great relationships with customers and colleagues, then Horsforth Sixth Form would love to hear from you!

We are seeking to appoint a Kitchen & Food Service Supervisor to oversee the catering provision within our new sixth form building (located in the grounds of Horsforth School). This is an exciting opportunity to deliver freshly prepared meals, deli sandwiches, salads, desserts, and other products to sixth form students and staff. Working closely with the Catering Management Team, you will deliver our exciting food offerings, using fresh, seasonal ingredients wherever possible. You will also be responsible for maintaining the kitchen to high standards and being a front-of-house presence.

This is a highly responsible position requiring a hardworking, energetic, and reliable individual who can handle issues proactively and work effectively as part of a team.

Horsforth School is no ordinary school. Join us and you will see what we mean. No role here is 'just a job'—you will be part of a team dedicated to supporting and developing our students while also having the opportunity to take ownership of your career. Our vision is ‘Opportunity and Achievement for All’—creating opportunities and supporting achievement for our students and colleagues alike.

Horsforth School’s results are consistently above national averages—GCSE and A Level results in 2022, 2023, and 2024 were the best in Leeds for state schools. In 2024, the school was named one of the top 10 schools in the North by The Sunday Times Power Guide, and the Yorkshire Post ranked our Sixth Form as one of the top 3 in Yorkshire.

We also offer staff incentives and recognize the importance of activities outside the classroom for wellbeing, including:

  • Extracurricular activities
  • Excursions and trips
  • Free onsite gym access and staff football team
  • Bike to work scheme
  • Onsite catering with regular staff breakfasts and seasonal events
  • New Sixth Form building with onsite coffee shop ‘Common Grounds’
  • Onsite parking and excellent public transport links from Leeds and Harrogate
  • Investment in physical and mental wellbeing
  • Access to Vivup Employee Assistance Programme, offering confidential support 24/7
  • Support for maintaining a healthy work/life balance

Located in North-West Leeds, the school is just five miles from the city centre, with access to retail, leisure, and cultural facilities, and is close to open countryside, York, Harrogate, and the Yorkshire Dales.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or religion. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students, and all appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

The above post is not a Leeds City Council vacancy and has been advertised on behalf of the relevant organization. To apply, please follow their application instructions.
