Job summary

St Mary’s Catholic High School in Astley, near Tyldesley, invites applications for an Engagement Lead to join our Sixth Form team. You will work closely with the Pastoral Manager to promote attendance, wellbeing, safeguarding and student engagement.

You will build strong relationships with students, parents and external agencies, providing early intervention and targeted support to help learners overcome barriers and achieve their best both academically and personally.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with secondary school age students in an educational, pastoral, youth work or support setting.
• Strong communication, organisational and safeguarding skills.
• Commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Promote attendance, wellbeing, safeguarding and student engagement.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, carers and external agencies to ensure students receive support.
• Provide monitoring, early intervention and targeted support to improve attendance and behaviours.
