Six Sigma Business Process Design and Optimisation Lead

Location: London (Hybrid – 4 days in office, 1 day WFH)

Type: Initial 6-Month Contract

Leading Asset and Wealth Manager is looking for an experienced Six Sigma Green Belt or (ideally) Black Belt to join their Change Office of dedicated initiative delivery and practice experts who are leading strategic initiatives across Product, Sales and Marketing, Business Services, Investment Operations, and Information Technology.

As a Process Design & Optimization Lead, you will contribute to the delivery of our business transformation programs, focusing on Target Operating Models across UK and APAC regions to increase scale and efficiency.

The person we are looking for will have a strong track record working in financial services OR management consulting, maximizing value by developing and facilitating initiative approaches, including benefits realization, governance structures, and change management, ideally within a central business change or transformation function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process Re-engineering: Manage multiple process optimization workstreams end-to-end within an initiative, understanding 2-3 process capabilities in depth, and having awareness of other process capabilities and expertise needs.
  • Design new workflows and processes. Conduct thorough analyses to understand inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and make recommendations on how to resolve them.
  • Implement strategies for continuous improvement. Work closely with various departments to streamline processes and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor process effectiveness and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Identify and leverage technology solutions to automate and improve processes. Collaborate with IT teams to implement tools that support operational excellence goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, improvements, and best practices. Ensure knowledge sharing across the organization.

Change/Project Delivery and Methodology:

  • Manage multiple independent projects or workstreams with limited cross-project dependencies.
  • Require minimal supervision.
  • Execute initiatives using standard practice methodologies.
  • Apply appropriate methodologies based on project type.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, providing clear messages and identifying communication barriers.
  • Maintain team morale by fostering a positive work environment and recognizing accomplishments.

Change Management:

  • Build a change management strategy and plan as part of delivery.
  • Work with senior management if additional change management expertise is needed.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply and execute innovative change management techniques with support from practitioners.
  • Develop and execute communication/content strategies to engage and inform stakeholders.
  • Identify the most effective communication channels for different stakeholder groups.

Influencing and Stakeholder Management:

  • Define stakeholders; establish processes for engagement.
  • Understand different stakeholder perspectives and respond appropriately.
  • Identify when escalation is required.
  • Explain and gain support for project delivery approaches with stakeholders.
  • Represent key conclusions and details at leadership forums.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt accreditation (mandatory)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years in management consulting or financial services (ideally within central change/transformation teams)
  • Experience in:
  • Business process reengineering and operational optimization
  • Business analysis and documentation of requirements/user stories
  • Implementing workflow tools and/or robotic process automation (RPA)
  • Delivering measurable business benefits through change initiatives
  • Working in Agile project environments
  • Strong analytical, visual communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural communication abilities
  • Self-directed, organized, and outcome-focused
  • Domain experience in asset or wealth management is a strong plus
  • Ability to demonstrate strong technical acumen and apply it to project planning and delivery
