Portakabin Ltd is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Bordon site to oversee daily operations on site and in the yard. The role focuses on safe practices, efficient operations, and delivering quality and timeliness in refurbishment activities.

You will plan and allocate work, supervise operatives, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental and quality standards. The company offers a pension and a range of wellbeing benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a supervisor role.
• Solid experience of working in a site or yard environment, with an understanding of safe and efficient operational practices.
• Ability to plan and allocate work, clearly communicating tasks and expectations to operatives.
• Skilled in identifying day-to-day operational challenges and applying practical problem-solving.
• Confident in seeking guidance and escalating issues appropriately for approval or resolution.
• Good communication skills, able to build effective working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate day-to-day work to operatives ensuring safe practices, efficient operations and cost-effective use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental and quality standards, including adherence to refurbishment times and guides.
• Promote health, safety and environmental standards, engaging operatives in safe working practices and company initiatives.
• Supervise operatives on site and in the yard, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of performance.
• Escalate operational challenges or resource issues to the relevant stakeholders, providing clear information to aid resolution.
• Seek approval for changes to standard operating procedures and ensure instructions are followed consistently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and supporting the adoption of best practice.
