Job summary

CNC Recruitment is seeking fully qualified Welders for the Hinkley Point C project. The role is site-based with a pay rate of £28.00 per hour. You will work on a major construction site requiring welding qualifications, a Site Safety Passport, and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.

Candidates must be able to read engineering drawings, follow welding procedures and operate various welding processes (MMA, MIG/MAG, TIG). Safety-conscious and reliable individuals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have approved welding apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3.
• Minimum 2 years' practical welding/site experience.
• Experience on petrochemical, nuclear or major construction sites helpful.
• ASME Section IX or EN 287 welding qualifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, job specifications and welding instructions.
• Prepare, position and secure components for welding.
• Select welding equipment and process for materials and job requirements.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust controls for correct parameters.
• Carry out welding to required specifications and quality standards.
• Complete pre-use safety checks and comply with site safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment and follow procedures.
