Job summary

Apleona UK is seeking a Site Waste Coordinator in Halstead to manage waste across a busy client site. The role reports to the Facilities Manager and involves liaising with client teams and waste providers, plus hands-on duties moving waste and performing deep cleans.

You will operate balers/compactors, follow health and safety rules, and support the team with varied tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• FLT licence essential.
• Experience in a similar role and/or environment.
• Experience of handling waste.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic PC skills.
• Physically able to undertake a variety of manual tasks.
• Previous experience of using baler machines is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and handle waste management at the site.
• Deal with all aspects of waste from the factory and liaise with client teams and waste providers.
• Move and load waste and perform deep cleans at site.
• Use and manage baler and compactors in line with health and safety rules.
• Support the manager, team and client with a variety of tasks.

  Location – Halstead, CO9 2SY

  Hours – Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 15:30pm

  We’re currently looking to recruit a Site Waste Coordinator to be responsible for co-ordinating and handling the waste management at our busy client site.Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will deal with all aspects of waste from the factory and interact with the client teams and waste providers - this is a very hand on position, and you will be involved in moving and loading of waste and deep cleans at site.

  In this role you will be required to use and manage baler and compacters, aligning with the health and safety rules on site. We’re looking for someone who is willing to pitch in with a variety of tasks linked to this position in order to support the manager,team and our client.

  As an Apleona Waste Operative, we’re looking for:

  • FLT licence (essential)
  • Experience working in a similar role and/or environment
  • Experience of handling waste
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic PC skills
  • Physically able to undertake a variety of manual tasks
  • Previous experience of using baler machines is desirable
