Site Waste Coordinator

Location: Hinkley Point B

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Site Waste Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Hinkley Point B Power Station. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a high-profile, safety-critical environment, helping ensure waste operations meet the highest environmental and regulatory standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

As Site Waste Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for ensuring compliant and efficient waste management on-site, including:

  • Characterising and managing waste (hazardous and non-hazardous), including safe storage, segregation, containerisation, labelling, and scheduling collections in line with UK and EU regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records, supporting monthly waste analysis to identify trends and opportunities for reduction.
  • Housekeeping and maintenance of waste storage areas and associated safety equipment.
  • Conducting environmental inspections and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Acting as the authorised consignor of waste and coordinating the activities of on-site waste operatives.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We're looking for someone who brings a strong mix of hands-on experience and regulatory understanding:

  • Proven experience managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste in an industrial setting.
  • Valid forklift license.
  • Solid understanding of UK and European waste regulations.
  • Experience conducting waste audits and duty of care checks.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
