About This Role

Required for September 2025, we are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Site Technician to join our dedicated Facilities team. The successful candidate will ensure the security, care, and availability of the Academy building, furniture, fittings, and equipment, contributing to a satisfactory physical environment. The role is varied, and the candidate will assist with maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the site. Strong communication, teamwork skills, and attention to detail are essential.

The successful candidate will work on a shift rotation Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm. The contract will be fixed-term for the duration of the apprenticeship.

We will support the candidate to complete either a Level 2 Facilities Services Operative apprenticeship or a Level 3 Facilities Management Supervisor apprenticeship, depending on experience, which will be discussed at interview.

The Academy

Ormiston Bushfield Academy is a good school (OFSTED – December 2019), located near the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, & Lincolnshire borders, with excellent road and rail links.

The Academy has expanded with a new £6 million wing opened in September 2018, and a state-of-the-art £20.6 million building completed in September 2012. It offers an inspiring environment and has achieved strong GCSE & A-Level results.
