Position: Site Technician
Salary: Scale 1 Pt 2-3, per annum to be pro rata
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7am-12noon, 25 hours per week, term time only
Contract Term: Permanent
Closing Date: Monday 15th December 2025 at 12noon
Interviews: Thursday 18th December 2025
Start date: Monday 5th January 2026

Role Overview

St Michael’s CE Primary School is seeking a proactive and skilled Interim Site Technician to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in DIY and maintenance, who is passionate about ensuring that the school’s premises are well-maintained and secure. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, be capable of managing multiple responsibilities, and contribute to the smooth running of the school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs to the school’s premises
  • Undertake routine tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the building and grounds
  • Ensure the security of the premises when not in use
  • Maintain cleanliness of the grounds daily
  • Open the building each morning
  • Regularly check heating, lighting, and alarm systems to ensure operational functionality
  • Order and manage requisitions for relevant supplies and equipment
  • Demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness at all times
