Job Introduction

Site Technician – Ground Engineering

Location: Peterborough

Salary: Competitive, based on experience + company benefits package.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Lucion Ground Engineering is looking for a Site Technician to join our expanding ground investigation teams. This role requires someone who is comfortable working outdoors, and experienced in groundworks (hand digging). Experience with diamond drilling/coring equipment to drill through hardstanding and concrete slabs is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out site work to support ground investigations
  • Using diamond drilling/coring equipment to drill through hardstanding and concrete slabs
  • Performing hand digging and general groundworks
  • Assisting engineering staff with fieldwork operations
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as required
  • Preparing and presenting test data
  • Conducting site evaluations for tendering purposes

What We’re Looking For

  • Enjoys working outdoors and able to carry out heavy manual work
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Basic numerical and PC skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Punctual and reliable

Desirable

  • Experience using diamond drilling/coring equipment
  • Knowledge of the ground investigation industry
  • Understanding of geographical awareness
  • Diverse and interesting ground investigation projects
