  • Single Healthcare facility in Tilehurst, Reading, no travel beyond this required

Here at ISS, as one of the UK's largest and most successful Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to develop our Engineering resource aligned with their client's Healthcare facility.

Thus, the role of Compliance Lead has been created for the first time, offering an opportunity to work with Account and client stakeholders to improve best Engineering Maintenance practices across the site.

Given the urgency of the work and the high level of technical awareness required, we are seeking PAY Day Rate contractors who can come in and drive meaningful change on a major and challenging site, reviewing technical processes and fostering cultural improvements.

This is a Hard and Soft services account with M&E delivered across much of the site, which is a mental health institution designed to accommodate individuals with mental health challenges serious enough to require hospitalization. This includes a Dementia Ward and a specialized facility for those with Learning Disabilities.

As Compliance Lead, you will have no line management duties but will work to processes and systems, emphasizing a Continuous Improvement mentality.

Key actions include:

  • Perform supervisory functions typical of a facility maintenance and utility plant operations organization
  • Review and evaluate performance to ensure quality standards are met
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve issues
  • Understand the Owner’s building operations rules for the facilities under care, as provided by the Key Account Manager
  • Collaborate with the Key Account Manager to ensure efficient staff utilization
  • Assign tasks for Work Tickets and Preventative Maintenance Work Orders for the O&M Team
  • Solve problems within procedural limitations
  • Ensure staff complete preventive maintenance and work orders as scheduled each month
  • Maintain and organize Operations & Maintenance Documents (Drawings, O&M manuals, Site Operators Manual, etc.) ensuring they are up-to-date, neatly stored, and easily retrievable

We need from you:

  • Clear M&E qualification, with technical leadership experience and a proven record of influencing others and driving change
  • An understanding of Healthcare Technical Memorandum (HTMs) is preferred
