This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, UK-based engineering company working on high-impact industrial projects across the country. This is a frontline leadership role with career progression built in.

The Role
As an On-site Team Leader, you’ll supervise small teams on live industrial sites, ensuring installations are delivered safely, to specification, and on time. You’ll remain hands-on, supporting the team with fitting, lining (rubber, ceramic, or steel), and fabrication tasks — while also acting as the key site contact. When not on site, you’ll assist with operations in the Kidderminster-based workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise fitting, lining, and fabrication work
  • Conduct daily briefs and ensure team compliance with site targets and safety
  • Monitor PPE, equipment, and site documentation
  • Work closely with the Production and Project Managers to coordinate resources
  • Promote a safety-first culture and represent the brand to clients
  • Identify any non-conforming materials or work and report accordingly
  • Support team development and training

Requirements:
  • Hands-on mechanical fitting or site experience (shutdowns, industrial installs, etc.)
  • Site leadership or team lead experience
  • Experience with wear linings, fitting, or steel fabrication
  • Valid Safety Passport (ECITB or equivalent)
  • First Aid trained
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:
  • Certifications: Slinger/Signaller, Lift Supervisor, MEWP, Telehandler
  • Confined space training
  • Welding or fabrication background
  • Supervisor experience in site services or off-site manufacture

Why Apply?
  • Salary from £37,000 + overtime
  • £75/day site allowance when travelling
  • Paid accommodation and travel for UK-wide projects
  • Career progression to Project Engineer roles
  • Access to company van
