Job description

Job Title: Site Supervisor

Job Description:

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing resources related to the repair and maintenance of the wastewater network across specific areas for our client. Your duties include supervising operational repair and maintenance activities such as repairing burst mains, leak repairs, stop tap repairs, equipment installation, and investigations. You will ensure work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and meets client expectations, with a focus on health and safety and customer service.

You will work closely with the scheduling team to ensure timely delivery of repair and maintenance work and communicate with customers impacted by our work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise water repair and maintenance teams daily activities.
  • Organize labor efficiently, including recruitment and absence management.
  • Manage resources such as materials and equipment.
  • Accurately document work, including photographs and asset details.
  • Review team progress and performance through regular site visits.
  • Conduct team briefings and coaching sessions.
  • Perform team inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Act as Health & Safety Representative, conducting inspections and reporting incidents.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications, e.g., NRWSA at supervisory level.
  • Health & Safety qualification preferred.
  • Experience in utilities sector.
  • Supervisor Street Works qualification.
  • Knowledge of deep excavation.
  • Good communication and management skills.
  • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in IT, including MS Excel and Word.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • First Aid at Work, Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling certifications.
