Job summary

A leading company in the energy sector seeks a Technical Site Engineer (Supervisor) for a 6-month contract, offering a daily rate of £350-£400. The role involves supervising installations, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations in various sites across Scotland. Candidates should have relevant technical qualifications and hands-on experience in industrial environments and the renewable energy sectors.

Qualifications

  • Technical qualifications relevant to IT, networking, or mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Experience in the energy and renewable sectors, ideally in Scotland.
  • Able to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise site installations and teams.
  • Coordinate installations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.

Skills

Ability to interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings
Experience designing and installing mechanical and low-voltage IT equipment
Managing third-party contractors
High attention to detail
Strong documentation skills

Education

HNC/HND in IT, networking, or mechanical/electrical engineering
IOSH Managing Safely

Role: Technical Site Engineer (Supervisor)

Day rate: £350 - £400 OUTSIDE IR35

Duration: 6 months

Location: Varied - expenses covered

Start: ASAP

Skills:

  • Ability to interpret and work from complex mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience designing and installing mechanical, low-voltage electrical, IT, and network equipment.
  • Skilled in managing third-party contractors and site-based teams.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Knowledge and Experience -

  • Hands-on experience working in industrial environments (eg substations).
  • Experience leading or supervising on-site engineers and third parties.
  • Experience managing and coordinating installations with multiple on-site stakeholders.
  • Experience in the energy and renewable energy sectors, ideally in Scotland.
  • Understanding of site health & safety controls and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with operational technologies.

Qualifications -

  • Relevant technical qualifications in IT, networking, or mechanical/electrical engineering (eg, HNC/HND, City & Guilds, vendor certifications, or equivalent experience).
  • IOSH Managing Safely, CSCS, CCNSG, or equivalent certifications.
  • Able to obtain government security clearance.
  • Full UK Driving License.
