Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking a Site Supervisor for a primary school in Morecambe. The role is a split shift (morning and afternoon) totaling around 25 hours per week, with an ASAP start. You will manageSite operations, supervise cleaning staff, and carry out basic maintenance to keep the site safe and clean.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on maintenance experience, the ability to work independently, and be willing to obtain or update an Enhanced DBS. UK-right-to-work is required.

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring it is safe, secure, and operational.
• Open and close the school premises as part of a split shift (typically early morning and late afternoon).
• Supervise and support the cleaning team, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., caretaker, site manager, facilities supervisor) is desirable.
• Strong practical and maintenance skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a small team.
• A proactive, reliable, and flexible attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Working Pattern:

• Split shift: Morning and afternoon - exact hours are negotiable to suit the right candidate.
