Job Description:

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Mechanical Site Supervisor based within the Southern Water Hampshire Region.

You will report directly to the M & E Manager/Lead Site Supervisor, and your role will supervise and control all mechanical site activities efficiently, according to the specifications and within the contract time, ensuring health and safety of all involved and delivering a quality end product with all Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) completed as work progresses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of site mechanical installations and testing;
  • Ensuring mechanical safety rules are followed and supporting documentation is produced in line with CMDP mechanical safety rules;
  • Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors;
  • Ensuring all relevant construction and safety documents are correctly recorded, reviewed, and up-to-date;
  • Checking that all relevant documents, such as method statements, adequately describe the work to be carried out;
  • Reviewing and commenting on Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan;
  • Recording the progress of the works;
  • Documenting non-conformances and improvement opportunities, and coordinating actions;
  • Maintaining quality standards in accordance with CMDP, client, and industry standards;
  • Attending site inductions and toolbox talks as required;
  • Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled safety inspections on both temporary and permanent equipment.
