Job summary

MWH Treatment in the Manchester and Wigan region is seeking an Electrical Site Supervisor to lead on-site electrical installations, ensuring safety and quality while meeting contract timetables.

You will report to the M&E Manager and oversee testing, isolation, and coordination with suppliers; be the Electrical Appointed Person and maintain CMDP safety rules. Requires SSSTS/SMSTS, C&G 2330/2360, NVQ3, IEE 18th edition; 2391 preferred.

Qualifications

• SSSTS/SMSTS qualification is required.
• C&G 2330/2360 in electrical installations is required.
• NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations is required.
• IEE 18th edition wiring regs and 2391 testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site electrical installations to specification and schedule.
• Maintain SHE standards and safe systems of work.
• Verify new electrical systems and ensure quality output.
• Carry out electrical isolations and safety inspections.
• Coordinate with suppliers; monitor inspection/test plans.
• Attend toolbox talks and support commissioning activities.
• Keep daily diary of site activities and support takeover documentation.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Electrical Site Supervisor based with in the Manchester & Wigan Regions.

You will report directly to the M & E Manager/ Lead Site Supervisor and your role will supervise and control all electricalsite activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality end product, ensuring a Quality installation as the work progresses.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervision of site Electrical installations
• Ensuring SHE standards are maintained and safe systems of work are being adhered to.
• Ensuring a high-quality product is being produced in line with current standards and specifications.
• Verification of new electrical systems
• Safe isolation of LV electrical systems
• Monitor supply chain performance and programme
• Review and monitor supplier inspection and test plans ensuring they are up to date and relevant to the work activity.
• Attend site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Support Commissioning activities where required.
• Attend collaborative planning meetings and have an active role in developing site delivery programmes
• As Electrical Appointed Person, ensure electrical safety rules are adhered to and supporting documentation is produced in line with CMDP electrical safety rules.
• Carry out electrical isolations.
• Carry out regular electrical safety inspections on temporary and permanent equipment.
• Hold 121’s with supply chain supervisors as required ensuring take 5s are carried out.
• Assist with compilation of project takeover documentation
• Oversee electrical testing is being undertaken in line with BS7671, review test results against guidance note 3 and manufacturers literature.
• Issue limitation of access permits
• Keep a daily diary of site activities.
